About Me

I am a lifestyle journalist, copywriter, and blogger, with words in Stylist and copywriting work including blog, social media, and eCommerce copy for Superdry and Fanfare Label.

I have in-house experience as an editorial assistant for Stylist, editor, digital editor and sub-editor for university magazine ANTE and fashion assistant at Hello! Fashion Monthly. I have knowledge of writing in different house styles, interview transcriptions, research, booking in press samples, and assisting on photoshoots as well as feature, article, and listicle writing. I am also completing a Google course on SEO optimisation and digital marketing.

I have a keen interest in writing features, articles, and listicles ranging from internet and popular culture to wellness, health, sustainability, celebrity news, fashion and beauty. Some of my past features have covered the importance of cervical cancer screenings in ‘Cervical cancer: “I was angry at myself for not having a smear test” for Stylist which coincided with Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, what the future of fashion sustainability looks like in a post COVID world and a personal piece about how online positivity movements have helped my insecurities with acne.

I've also had experience with social media management, content creation, and event assisting for FitFest Oxford.

I have a degree in Magazine Journalism and Production from the University of Gloucestershire.

"Amber completed every task with enthusiasm and consistently met deadlines. All of her work (research and transcriptions) was of a high standard. She was thorough, organised, and did well at balancing varied tasks for different people"
Aiden Wynn, Editorial Assistant at Stylist

"Amber was a great asset to the office. She attended two photoshoots, helped with sample returns, compiled credits and prices, transcribed interviews, and assisted the entire team with admin and organising. She was confident and very quick to learn, polite and reliable" Jill Wanless, Editor of Hello! Fashion Monthly
